Fishing Reports

Flounder/Sea Bass/Tog

Hit the ocean for these three.  The larger flounder and sea bass can be found at inshore and offshore reefs.  The Sea Girt Reef, Townsends Inlet Reef, and Cape May Reef have all been producing large catches of keeper flounder and sea bass.  Fish around bridges and structure for the tog.  The Old Grounds has been producing large keeper flounder lately including an 8 pounder last week.

Contact on of our charters to check for availability.  It's best to jump on one during the week to avoid fishing in a huge crowd.

Offshore Report 8-14

Most of the Bluefin Tuna that were hanging around 20 fathoms in areas like the Cigar have moved north.  They can be found within 30 miles of Point Pleasant and other Northern ports.   The canyon bite has been good for people that are able to get out and Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi, and Marlin have all been caught.  A recent trip to the Lindenkohl Canyon produced Yellowfin to 70 lbs. and many small Mahi.  Use squid spreader bars for the tunas and look for floating objects to locate the Mahi.  Once you find them, feed them chunks or live minnows.  We should have a good White Marlin bite in September if the weather continues to be warm.
